Tony Romo Proves To Be The Cure-All For Dallas Cowboys

The 2015 Cowboys had already matched one of those losing skids, one of the seven game variety without starting quarterback Tony Romo - but then he came back on Sunday.

But three plays later, on the first snap of the second quarter, linebacker Rolando McClain made a leaping interception of a pass from Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill at the Miami 12-yard line and ran it into the end zone untouched to give the Dallas defense its first touchdown of the season and the team a 7-0 lead in the game. How's that for a change?

Defensive end Cedric Thornton (Star City, Southern Arkansas) had five tackles for the Philadelphia Eagles in their 45-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Romo at quarterback, perhaps they could have gotten another score, and came out on top, according to the Dallas Morning News. Cam Newton and those undefeated Panthers have not missed a step all year.

There's good reason for confidence in Dallas to swell now that Romo is back. They benefited greatly from Romo's ability to extend plays throughout the game, but when they needed to come up big to finish the game, they were able to pave the way for the running game.

Based on last week's results, the Giants are the main contender for Dallas.

Dallas was considered to be one of the NFC's best teams before Romo got hurt, and they began the season with higher expectations than the Panthers. McFadden has more room to operate as teams will load the box up less frequently, and the Cowboys now have a true passing attack with Romo at the offensive helm once more.

This means the defense must play better. Penalties must be kept at a minimum. Hardy moved up and down the line, but found his most success against Fox, who has had difficulty with players such as Jacksonville's Jared Odrick and Buffalo's Jerry Hughes, but fared well against Buffalo's Mario Williams. This week is so short it's really tough to get all the game planning or film study that you want. So, our defense was very hungry, but Romo was out there. He now has a running game, and 2015 is no different. "And through the last six games".

Darren McFadden provided offensive balance by rushing for 129 yards. "They're going to take some shots deep".

What do you think? Turbin is feisty. Hungry. There's no saying what record he needs to finish with to keep his job.

Forget about winning in spite of him, the current narrative is one that says the Cowboys can't win without him. It would be interesting to see how he bounces back with two games in five days after being out for two months.

The game matched a pair of last-place teams and looked it at times. I thought we were excellent on third down getting off the field. He matters a lot.

As was pointed out Sunday, there are three undefeated teams this late in the season - New England, Carolina and the Cowboys with Romo. Perfect. Time for him to feast. When McClain hits someone, he really hits them as opposing players rarely fall forward after coming into contact with the stout linebacker.

A quick check online shows me that Bryant has a total of 60 touchdowns in the National Football League, 58 in the air and a couple of punts run back during his rookie year of 2010. "For me, I feel good and I'll be ready when Thursday comes".
