Luis Enrique Confirms Shortlist Submitted, Top Rumours — Barcelona Transfer News

"I'm sure that Atletico are candidates for the title", the Barcelona coach said at a news conference.

The prolific form of the attacking trio was key to the turnaround and Enrique is eager to keep them motivated.

"We will think [about it] and try to formulate a plan to stop the three of the best players in the world, who right now are in great form", he told Goal.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has claimed that he is unsurprised that Luis Suarez is scoring so many goals for the Catalan club. "I know him and his taste for good football, you can see his influence already and Espanyol will undoubtedly make it tough for us", the Barca coach stated.

With Barcelona the current Spanish, European and World champions there's good reason for wondering where Vidal and Arda will fit in.

"We hope to take something from the game because it's an important game for us".

Barca had initially thought they would be eligible for Saturday's derby with Espanyol but as New Year's Day is a holiday in Spain the RFEF's (Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol) offices are closed and the players can't be registered on time.

Will Barca sign anyone else?

One possible target for Enrique is Celta Vigo forward Nolito, with Sport (h/t Goal) reporting the Spaniard is prepared to turn down a move to Arsenal as he is hoping to make a return to the Camp Nou.

Luis Enrique has made Nolito a priority signing at Barcelona.

Barca either sold or loaned out a number of useful squad players last summer, including Pedro Rodriguez, Gerard Deulofeu, Adama Traore and Alen Halilovic, so even with Turan and Vidal coming into the squad, there can be legitimate concern over their depth in certain positions.

Barcelona's ban is now behind them but FIFA may not be done yet with several top clubs still under investigation for the same thing. Please note that comments are automatically checked for inappropriate language and will be removed accordingly.
