Arsenal striker Lacazette inferior to 'top drawer' Chelsea rival Morata, says Merson

Santi Cazorla could get into Chelsea's starting XI according to Paul Merson

But other rumours have run for years and years, without ever turning into done deals.

The Blues lock horns with Arsenal in a mouth-watering Premier League tie at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, aiming for a sixth straight Premier League win at Stamford bridge against their city rivals in the London Derby.

And with Eden Hazard now returning and the prospect of bringing another marquee striker to replace Diego Costa in January, he reckons Chelsea have a squad capable of being 'virtually unstoppable'. If Chelsea go a goal up, you know Arsenal will capitulate. Lacazette has taken an average of 135.5 minutes to do the same.

A lack of supply from his team-mates could be highlighted by Lacazette's fewer shots, although he has been more clinical than Morata, converting 30 per cent of his chances, compared to 21 per cent from the Chelsea striker.

When asked about whether he would pick Lacazette over Morata, Merson said on Sky Sports' The Debate: "No, I like him (Lacazette), I think he is a good player - but Morata is top top draw". Morata is going to be an absolute star in the Premier League. The Gunners will wonder how they are not ahead in this game after a goalless first 45 minutes. It's like when you watch something and someone's done something in 15 minutes and you think 'wow, they can play' and he done that about five times.

Luiz, who held his wrist in pain after the incident, was quick to show his dissatisfaction towards Lacazette.

The French forward has scored two goals in four Premier League games for Arsene Wenger's men since becoming the club's record signing in the summer.
