North Korea Says Trump Lit 'Fuse of War', Russian News Agency Reports

The South Korean military said this was part of a regular exercise to bolster military defences and also to display the alliance between the United States and South Korea

The U.N. Security Council has barred North Korea from exporting coal, iron, lead and seafood. In August, Pyongyang threatened to shoot intermediate range missiles towards the vicinity of Guam, a target frequently subjected to sabre-rattling from the North.

The Air Force said Tuesday's overflight demonstrated how U.S. military forces "are always ready to defend the American homeland and how the U.S. stands resolutely with Japan and [South Korea] to honor their unshakeable alliance commitments to safeguard security and stability".

Mr Ri also said the North's nuclear programme is a "precious fruition of the Korean people's bloody struggle for defending the destiny and sovereignty of the country from the protracted nuclear threat of the US imperialists and a treasured sword of justice". That includes mobilizing the private sector to make investments around the world.
