Star Wars Battlefront II hero prices reduced by 75 per cent

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is released for PS4 Xbox One and PC on 17 November

It's a positive change, but also one that is definitely trying to divert attention from the more pressing issue with the game.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has arrived and that sound you hear faintly in the distance is the sound of fans around the world all rejoicing at once.

Furthermore, Battlefront II is yet another title that uses loot crates as a gameplay mechanic to obtain items and upgrades, thus making it much harder to actually progress and obtain the desired characters since players would also spend game money on what are basically lottery boxes.

Games publisher EA has changed a rule in its Star Wars Battlefront II video game after a huge backlash. "Unlocking a hero is a great accomplishment in the game, something we want players to have fun earning". If you are gaming on the smoking remains of a TIE Fighter's on-board computer, this is probably good news.

We previously mentioned that Heroes and Villains are only playable in-game through spending Battle Points, which you earn in every individual online game of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

"We know some of our most passionate fans, including those in our subreddit, have voiced their opinions, and we hear you", the statement continues. For those with less powerful rigs, this will no doubt prove an important setting, but modern gamers should be able to opt for top-tier quality with little issue.

These in-game credits, according to Reddit users, will take dozens of hours to unlock.

Some suggested the most effective way to make EA listen is to involve the parent company of the Star Wars franchise, Disney. It's quite amazing, really; in a relatively short time frame, employees have been threatened, the company posted the most downvoted Reddit thread in history, and-without a doubt-someone somewhere got hurt. What drags Star Wars Battlefront II down however is its gaudy progression system, a campaign that really doesn't go anywhere compelling, and an overall lack of originality.

Well, after the community went crazy about the Star Wars: Battlefront 2's microtransactions, Electronic Arts decided to make things right by reducing the credits needed to unlock Heroes in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by 75%.

On Reddit, a user vented their frustration that they wouldn't be able to play the game as Darth Vader until they'd earned (or, controversially, bought) enough credit to unlock the character. This means the only way to cancel an order is via the customer support chat feature. For having such a unique premise centering around that of an Imperial Commander rather than the typical Rebellion or Republic aligned protagonist, things happen exactly as you would anticipate, which is unfortunate. With that said, Star Wars Battlefront II will be an ever-changing experience.

But he spent most of the game laser-focused on the multiplayer, praising the 40-player Galactic Assault.
